On Friday, November 16, 2007 Mike Randall performed a sensational performance of the “Christmas Carol” to an audience of over 500.  Dressed in 1800’s attire, Randall portrayed all of the characters of this Dickens’ classic using his typical wit, humor and energy .  With a simple stage prop of a home made reading stand and pitcher of water, Mike Randall had us all feeling like little children comfortably nestled in our seats listening intently to a bed-time story.
The event was enhanced by the Pioneer Central String ensemble led by Nancy Bailey in the foyer with Dona Roll directing the Pioneer Community Chorus  at intermission.  Hundreds of unwrapped toys were delivered by attendees in exchange for our first annual Chamber Holiday Merchant Coupon Book.  All proceeds from the coupon book sales and the event will be donated to the Pioneer Pro Program, assisting needy families throughout the holiday season with coats, boots, clothing and other needed items.
The evening concluded with a standing ovation for Randall leaving us all with a  true sense of the holiday season-- a sense of giving, hope, renewal and love for mankind
